Feel free to call me Tash. Besides being the owner of Dear Darling Films, I am also a professional marshmallow toaster, dog cuddler, and the owner of a single dimple on my left cheek. I wear my heart on my sleeve, which means that I usually end up crying at almost every wedding that I am invited to. I'm a big fan of campfires, board game nights, and deep chats with people who inspire me.
Most days, you can find me snuggling up to my boyfriend and my (big) puppy Tyson, drinking bubble tea, and listening to waaaay too much Ed Sheeran. I am based in Ottawa, Canada, but my love for travel and exploring new places makes it hard for me to stay put.
Nature makes my soul happy. I grew up camping and canoeing across Ontario, which taught me to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors from a young age. These days, my travels take me a little bit further than Ontario -- from Costa Rica to Hong Kong, I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit and live in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the world. Some of my favourite adventures include hiking Lantau Peak (Hong Kong's second highest mountain) to catch the sunrise, sleeping on the rooftop of a Thai boat under the stars, and playing an Ultimate Frisbee tournament in Shanghai.
If you're looking to elope or plan on celebrating your wedding outside of Canada, I'd love to hear from you!
5 years ago, I fell for the captain of the football team. Since then, we've graduated from the University of Ottawa, lived in three apartments together, and adopted our fur baby named Tyson. We enjoy talking about podcasts, going to the gym together, and spending time at our cottage.
I struggle to put into words just how grateful I am for Sam's patience, kindness, and unconditional support. Football might have been his calling, but it turns out that he is quite the cheerleader, too!
Howdy! I go by Emily or Em. As an associate filmmaker for Dear Darling Films, I'm looking forward to capturing those special, one-time-only moments that you can cherish forever.
Asides from filming, I'm a Rock n' Roll, crafty "old soul" who likes to thrift, sew, listen to all the tunes and read. During the warmer months I'm at the park soaking up the sun with some snacks and a cold drink or adventuring the city of Toronto on my bike, probably trying to find and taste all the food the city has to offer. You can trust I have my film camera on me at all times (her name is Matilda) to point and shoot anything that captures my attention.
While originally from outside Toronto, I discovered my passion for photography right here in Ottawa while on a family trip. From there, my passion for photography grew, which is how I discovered an equal love for videography. I went on to study Communication at the University of Ottawa which led to work opportunities in the photo and video industry including working for NHL Studios and Parks Canada, and as the lead Camera Operator and Production Manager for a digital media agency. I am incredibly passionate about finding those creative shots while ensuring that my clients are comfortable and enjoying the process. I enjoy travelling to new places, spending a weekend at the cottage, getting outside (usually with a camera around my neck), and health and fitness.
Hey, I'm Mary! I’m known for loving coffee shops, but not coffee. I am your girl if you're looking to elope in the mountains or by the ocean (or better yet, both)!
When I am not working for Dear Darling Films, I am running my own wedding photography business. Some of my favourite things to do include binge-watching rom-coms, exploring Ottawa's hidden gems, and attempting to dance (P.S. I will 100% hit the dance floor with you at the end of your wedding day). There is nothing I love more than telling and preserving memories, and I can’t wait to capture your special day!
Hi there, I'm Julien! I'm a graduate from the Algonquin College Television and Broadcasting Program. Shortly after completing the program, I freelanced for 2 and a half years, making weddings the main focus of my work.
These days, I work primarily for a film production company in the camera department, but I still find time to film the occasional wedding! Hobbies of mine include rock climbing, and shooting photos on film.
Life is but a collection of moments.
We wholeheartedly believe that our films are one of very few purchases you make in preparation for your wedding day that will only increase in value over time. We have devoted ourselves to this craft because we have seen firsthand how meaningful our films have been to our clients, particularly to those who are experiencing or have experienced the loss of someone near and dear to their heart. Our team understands the importance of documenting and capturing one of the most important life events for our couples, because ultimately memories of these big life events are all that we have to look back on at the end of our lives.
We like to keep things really simple by offering a single base package which covers most of what brides and grooms want, with the option of upgrading if desired.

Think about it: your videographers and your photographer will spend more time with you than anyone else on your wedding day, which is why it is so important that you feel comfortable and connected to whoever you choose. We have been known to fix boutonnieres and carry bouquets when needed, and to laugh and cry with our couples. At the same time, we also know when to back off and capture moments as they happen, in their purest and most intimate form.
We are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients, and therefore only take on a limited number of couples each year.
Natasha...words can’t describe how incredibly happy Matt and I are with the amazing service we received from both you and Reid. This video perfectly captures our day and is the most incredible keepsake to remind us how amazing our day was! You were both so professional, fun, caring, helpful and honestly the list goes on!
One thing I especially wanted to note was how discrete you both were! It is crazy how many intimate moments you captured, yet we didn’t feel the cameras looming over us! We really got to just enjoy our day and it didn’t feel like a performance. I would highly recommend your services and I can say to any future brides out there, you will not regret your decision! Videography is a must if you can and Natasha is an incredibly talented videographer! Thank you a million times over!
